Paraiso del Pastor began with a visit to Farms in Ecuador by a farmer from New York. Since then, Sebastian Interlandi, Creative Shepherd Farm and many partners have worked to establish an international corporation owned by farmers, hoteliers, artisans, and their customers. This co-operative has as it's mission, the fair exchange of goods and ideas between communities in the North-eastern U.S. and communities in the Gran Columbia region of South America. We also aim to move our exchange to a fossil fuel free distribution system as quickly as possible.
Through our exchange we are bringing Ecuadorean scientists, artisans and students to the North, American tourists, traders and technical experts to the South. Our agro-ecological tours are designed to give you a thorough view into all the facets of Ecuadorean culture and ecology upon which our business rests.
Our small group tours consist of 6 travelers, two guides and a driver. We will travel around Ecuador together in a comfortable van, and all instruction is available in English, although you are welcome to use your Spanish as much as you want!
These are some of the places we will be visiting on the tour! Click on the images below to learn more about these farms and organizations.
